INFRARED AND RAMAN SPECTRA OF N$sub 2$$sup 14$$O$$sub 4$ AND N$sub 2$$sup 15$$O$$sub 4$

Journal Article · · J. Mol. Spectroscopy
The infrared spectra of gaseous and liquid N/sub 2//sup 15/O/sub 4/ were observed from 340 to 5500 cm/sup -1/ and the Raman spectra of liquid and solid N/ sub 2//sup 15/O/sub 4/ were recorded. The corresponding spectra of N/sub 2//sup 14/O/sub 4/ were observed to provide an accurate measure of the isotope shifts. Assignments of all eleven active fundamental frequencies have been made. These assignments fit the product rule within experimental error and account for all observed overtones. (auth)
