Measurement of cobalt-60 and cesium-137 gamma rays with a free-air chamber

Journal Article · · Journal of Research of the National Bureau of Standards, Section C: Engineering and Instrumentation
Resign data for free-nir chinnbers measuring cobalt-60 and cesium-137 gamma rays in roentgens are presented. It has been shown that the Jaffe-Zanstra method of obtaining the saturation current is adequate for nir pressures of about 4 to 12 atmospheres. Also, radiation measurements of the gamma rays from cobalt- 60 and cesium-137 made by a cavity chamber and a free-nir chamber agree to within the experimental errors.
