A NEW FILM BADGE FOR MIXED RADIATION OF VARIOUS TYPES (in German)

Journal Article · · Kerntechnik (West Germany) Merged with Atomkernenergie to form Atomkernenerg./Kerntech.kyu Hokoku
OSTI ID:4135318
An opinion is given on the problems of the number, arrangement, and the appropriate size of filters used in film badges for mixed radiation of various types in determining personal doses. The respective filter size depends on the importance of the filter for the reliability of the dose to be calculated. The decrease of trace detectability in the case of nuclear films (determination of the dose of fast neutrons) due to storage conditions is considered. A badge is presented that offers considerable advantages as compared to other badges used. (auth)
