IONIZATION CHAMBERS TO MEASURE ROENTGEN- AND GAMMA-RADIATION (in Russian)

Journal Article · · Med. Radiol
OSTI ID:4134767
The necessity of establishing set standards for ionization chambers intended to measure roentgen and gamma radiation is discussed. It is shown that 4 types of ionization chambers will sufficiently serve the medical purposes. The results of research showed optimal correlation between the diameter of the cylindrical chamber and its length to be 0.5-1.0. To effect measurements in the range of effective quanta energies of the order of 10-120 krv, chambers made of therylene and polyethylene with their walls
