A review is given of fall-out monitoring in Norway from July 1959 to July 1960. Although deposition of short-lived and long-lived isotopes during the first 6 months of 1959 was higher than during previous years, concentrations of fall-out materials in air and precipitation thereafter decreased and at the beginning of 1960 were the lowest for many years. From the end of February 1960, some radioactive material from the Sahara weapons tests reached Norway. (auth)
