Physical behavior of the AVR-reactor with insertion of substantial amounts of THTR 300 fuel elements (in German)

The AVR-reactor allows to perform extensive tests of fuel elements of pebble-bed type under conditions similar to those by power operation. Due to the statistical character of fuel element's circulation an extensive computational support by planning and performing of such tests is necessary, praticulary if the test fuel elements cause a substantial change of core parameters. The problem arising from the insertion of substantial amounts of THTR 300 fuel elements are discussed. It appears that the AVR-reactor can be operated with THTR fuel elements, but some restrictions of the test objectives would be necessary. (orig.)
