PROPOSED NOMENCLATURE FOR PHASES IN URANIUM ALLOYS (in French)

Journal Article · · J. Nuclear Materials
Since the Mo--U system was first investigated, an extensive fund of information has accumulated which is confusing because of the diversity of terminology. A meeting was held at Saclay between representatives associated with the metallurgy of uranium alloys to agree upon a nomenclature for the phases in uranium alloys. Although the proposed nomenclature has special reference to Mo-- U alloys, it is believed to be sufficiently general to cover the equilibrium and metastable phases in all uranium systems showing solubility in the body- centered cubic gamma -phase.
