PLASMA IN A VARYING MAGNETIC FIELD (in Russian)

Journal Article · · Zhur. Tekh. Fiz.

BS>Experiments were carried out with non-electrode gas discharge in the magnetic field of two single-loop coils. The discharge creates vortical electromotive forces during the variation of magnetic flux with time. The obtained plasma was subjected to a sinusoidal magnetic field which constricted it in the radial direction toward the axis of the system and in the axial direction toward the interval between the coils. Radial oscillations were observed during the constriction. (R.V.J.)
