HYDRODYNAMIC STABILITY OF A BOILING CHANNEL. PART 3

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4128516
An extension is made of previous analytical work on the problem of predicting the degree of hydrodynamic stability of a single heated channel across which a constant pressure drop is imposed. The extension concerns the formulation of an explicit model to account for the existence of subcooled boiling, which was essentially ignored in the previous analysis. A computer program (STABLE-4) for the revised analysis is described, and preliminary results are discussed. (auth)
