Pulse Shape in Scintillation Counters
Journal Article

· IRE Transactions on Nuclear Science
At the output of a scintillation detector, the form of the current and voltage pulses depends on the time characteristics of the scintillation, on the spread of transit time in the photomultiplier, and on the time constant of the photomultiplier output circuit. Equations were derived for this dependence. Finally, the front of the voltage pulse and the revolving time of coincidence circuits were also estimated.
