Attempts to Influence the Elimination of Radiostrontium
The effect of SrCl2, Sr-lactate, CaCl2, Ca-lactate, Nalactate, CaNa2-LDTA and CaNa2-citrate on the deposition of radiostrontium was examined in mice. Of the tested agents, only strontium salts and calcium sodium citrate Here able to decrease the retention if given within 1/ 2 hr before or after the administration of radiostrontium. The optimum effect was obtained withSrCl2; the effect of Srlactate was less. All the other agents increased the retention.
