S>Spectrophotometric studies were made of uranyl ion complexing by ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA). The compounds UO/sub 2/H/sub 2/Y,(UO/sub 2/)/sub 2/Y, and (UO/sub 2/Y)/sup 2-/ were foun d and separated. The instability constants of (UO/sub 2/)/sub 2/Y and (UO/sub 2/Y)/sup 2-/ were calculated.
