HYPERFINE STRUCTURE OF THE METASTABLE $sup 3$$P$$sub 2$ STATE OF Cd$sup 111$ AND Cd$sup 11$$sup 3$

The hyperfine intervals of Cd/sup 111/ and Cd/sup 113/ (5s, 5p, /sub 3/P/ sup 2/) are DELTA v/sup 111/(F = 5/2, F = 3/2) = (8232.341 plus or minus 0.002) Mc/sec; plus or minus v/sup 118/(F = 5/2, F = 3/2) = (8611.586 plus or minus 0.004) Mc/sec. The measured hyperfine anomaly is (0.0016 plus or minus 0.0003)%. (auth)
