THE USE OF ORGANIC REAGENTS IN THE POLAROGRAPHIC DETERMINATION OF URANIUM AND ZIRCONIUM

Journal Article · · Journal of Electroanalytical Chemistry (Netherlands) Superseded by J. Electroanal. Chem. Interfacial Electrochem.
In an attempt to find a suitable reagent for the polarographic determination of uranium and zirconium, various di-o-hydroxyazo and o-hydroxy- o(?)-aminoazo dyes were tested. Mordant Blue 2 R was found to be the most suitable. The influence of various factors. such as pH, concentration of the supporting electrolyte, temperature, and the presence of other elements, was investigated. The determination procedures are described, as well as methods for removing interfering ions. (auth)
