INFLUENCE OF NUCLEAR DATA UNCERTAINTIES ON THE THEORETICAL PREDICTION OF DOPPLER COEFFICIENTS IN FAST AND INTERMEDIATE REACTORS. Preliminary Background for the Combined German-French PriorityI Requests for Determination of U$sup 238$ and Pu$sup 239$ Resonance Parameters

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4121774
Factors affecting the accuracy of neutron resonance parameters in thermal, intermediate, and fast reactors are outlined. Several theories for the Doppler coefficient in fast reactors are reviewed. In the light of these accuracy limitations and theoretical uncertainties, the resonance parameters of U/ sup 238/ and Pu/sup 239/ are discussed. Resonance data for these nuclides are reviewed and summarized. (T.F.H.)
