Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4121552

The laboratory studies, radioactively cold development studies, and radioactively hot development-recovery activities involved in the Hot Semiworks operations leading to the recovery and purification of nearly a megacurie of Sr/ sup 90 are described. The D2EHPA extraction process was used for separation of Sr/sup 90/ from Rarex plant crude Sr/sup 90/ solution. Four runs, each processing 210 to 480 kC of Sr/sup 90/, were made, with each lasting about 2 weeks. A total of 744 kC of purified Sr/sup 90/ was isolated for shipment out of a total input of 1180 kC.
