On July 10, 1991, 10 CFR 50.65 was published in the Federal Register. These requirements will become law July 10, 1996. Subsequent to the approval of 10 CFR 50.65 by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), the Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI), in conjunction with the utility industry, developed NUMARC 93-01 in May 1993. This document provides guidance for implementation of the rule.
