NaK PUMP EVALUATION

Four types of electromagnetic pumps were considered, from an efficiency and weight standpoint, for the task of pumping 11 gpm of 78%K NaK having a temperature of 1000 gas-cooled F with a pressure rise across the pump of 4 psi. The d-c conduction electromagnetic pump appeared to be the most suitable. Characteristics of all four types are listed. (W.D.M.)
