Regge behavior in inclusive reactions and the constituent interchange model

Conference ·
OSTI ID:4115500
The constituent interchange model together with the concept of hadronic bremsstrahlung is used as a basis for describing the Reggeization of the basic interaction mechanism. Both exclusive and inclusive scattering are discussed as well as their detailed connection in analogy with Bloom-Gilman duality. The expected behavior of the inclusive cross section throughout the entire Peyrou plot is discussed. Important corrections to the triple Regge formula are evaluated and qualitatively compared to data. Finally, the expected pattern of the final states in large transverse momentum events is qualitatively described. (FR)
