Optical absorptions of LiF single crystals irradiated with to 1000 deg F. or rays were measured in the extreme ultraviolet region. One specimen was found to have an absorption band at 11.1 ev. well-separated from the fundamental band, which seemed to be proportional to the F band. Finally, in two other specimens, a composite shoulder was observed that seemed to consist of at least two bands at 11.75 and l1.1 ev.
