Study of continuum states in $sup 24$Mg by $sup 20$Ne($alpha$$,$$alpha$') and $sup 23$Na(p,$alpha$) reactions (in French)

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4114868

Excitation functions were measured for the $sup 20$Ne($alpha$$,$$alpha$')$sup 20$Ne and $sup 23$Na(p,$alpha$$)$$sup 20$Ne reactions in the energy ranges corresponding to, respectively, 17.85 - 21.67 and 19.35 - 20.65 MeV of excitation in $sup 24$Mg, that is in the region of the sub-Coulomb resonances in $sup 24$Mg observed in the $sup 12$C+$sup 12$C reactions. The energies of possible quasibound states in $sup 24$Mg responsible for the deviations from the average trends in the above excitation functions were determined by statistical analysis and they were compared to the energies of known sub-Coulomb resonances in $sup 24$Mg. The comparison speaks in favor of interpreting the simple structures associated with the resonances as alpha-like configurations in the $sup 24$Mg continuum. (FR)
