URANIUM COMPATIBILITY STUDIES. PART I. THE INTERACTION OF URANIUM WITH GAS- FREE WATER AND WATER VAPOUR

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4112681
The interaction between uranium and both liquid water and water vapor has been studied in the absence of permanent gases in the temperature range 35 to 100 deg C. The reaction has been shown to proceed at a uniform rate dependent on the temperature and available uranium surface area. The reaction mechanism appears to be unchanged in the temperature range investigated. (auth)
