THE DECAY CHAIN Yb$sup 164$ $Yields$ Tm$sup 164$ $Yields$ Er$sup 16$$sup 4$

Journal Article · · Nuclear Phys.
It was established that among the spallation products of tautalum there is an isotope Yb/sup 164/(T/sub 1/2/ = 75 plus or minus 2 min), which disintegrates into a hitherto uuknown isotope Tm/sup 164/ (T/sup 1/2/ s = 2 plus or minus 0.5 min). Tm/sup 164/ turns into a stable Er/sup 164/, emittmg positons with an end-point energy of 2940 plus or minus 20 kev and 91.5 plus or minus 0.1 kev and 211 plus or minus 2 kev gamma rays. (auth)
