Measurement of Zero Power Frequency Response of the SRE

This report describes the derivation of both the zero power linearized reactor transfer function, and the transfer function with feedback due to power and temperature effects in the core. The instrumentation and special techniques used to measure these transfer functions are also described. The zero power frequency response function measurements on the SRE confirmed the experimental methods employed. The experimental data correlated quite well with the linearized zero power reactor transfer function, and the measurements provided an experimentally determined value of ℓ/β.
