A capsule is described for the flexible mounting of a radioisotope within nuclear radiation gages without needless exposure of personnel. The capsule is of snap-in type with a circumferential groove. Once inserted in a source holder, the capsule is held securely by springloaded detent pins carried in the holder, which engage the groove of the capsule. A tong-like tool is used for insertion and removal of the capsule. (R.E.U.)
