THERMAL, RADIATION AND CHEMICAL STABILITY OF SULFUR DIOXIDE

Technical Report ·
DOI:https://doi.org/10.2172/4111330· OSTI ID:4111330
A search for information on the thermal, radiation, and chemical stability of sulfur dioxide was made. Although sulfur dioxide has a very high thermal stability it is very reactive with carbon, especially at temperatures above 500 to 800 deg C. The radiation stability is not promising. (D.L.C.)
