The advantages and disadvantages of using horizontal and vertical magnetic fields in bubble chambers are discussed. Trajectory calculations for the 80-inch chamber are used to illustrate the problems associated with slow beams that are to be stopped in a chamber with a horizontal field. (D.C.W.)
