A derivation is given for an equation for determining the maximum signal- to-noise ratio in pulse amplifiers. The upper limits of this ratio were calculated for amplifiers used in connection with radiation detection considering a given resolving time. The results of the calculations are given graphically for various cases involving variations in the current pulses and white noise spectra. (B.O.G.)
