THE GYROMAGNETIC RATIO OF THE PROTON

The International Association of Geomagnetism and Aeronomy recommends that all measurements of the geomagnetic field with a proton free-precession magnetometer, using pure water as a proton sample, shall be based on the value of the gyromagnetic ratio 2.675l3 x l0/sup 4/ radians/gauss-second.
