Large transverse momentum phenomena: an experimental and theoretical review

A review is presented of both experimental and theoretical results on large transverse momentum inclusive processes. The experimental topics include single-particle cross-sections, particle composition and correlations at large transverse momentum. The characteristics and predictions of the various theoretical models are described. The similarities and differences between the models are discussed with emphasis on those features which allow experimental discrimination. (FR)
