Investigations in radioactive fallout particles, begun in 1961, were continued in 1962. In addition to earlier findings the following radioactive nuclides were detected by gamma spectrometry and radiochemical methods: Mn/sup 54/ , Fe/sup 59/, Sb/sup 125/, and Cs/sup 137/. The existence of Co/sup 56/ and Sb/ sup 124/ is highly probable. The mean largest diameter of the particles analyzed by electron microscopy was found to be 4.3 mu . The elements Fe and Al were again detected as inactive components of the radioactive particles by x-ray microanalysis at the ulectron microscope. Investigations still in progress indicate that the radioactive particles are insoluble or only slightly soluble under physiological conditions. (auth)
