Equations for the FICS routine, (of the KARE system), a method of calculating cross sections, are given. The calculation of thermal and epithermal cross sections is independent. Age factors and effective neutron temperatures as used in WOXX do not occur. In burn-up calculations, the only burnable fuel allowed is U/sup 235/ and the only burnable poison is B/sup 10/. All other substaces are treated as structures and ignored in the burn-up calculations. (C.J.G.)
