Suspected VV Cephei stars in the Large Magellanic Cloud

Journal Article · · Astrophys. J., v. 201, no. 2, pp. 347-349
OSTI ID:4098911
Twelve stars in the Large Magellanic Cloud show both hydrogen emission and TiO absorption features in the red and/or infrared. Five of these are known to be composite, apparently combining an M supergiant and a luminous blue component, and are probably VV Cephei stars. The remaining stars are suspected to be of a similar character. (AIP)
