Crystal and molecular structures of selected organometallic compounds and some direct methods

The crystal structure of 2-[tetra(trimethylsilyl)cyclohexene-1-yl] heptamethyltrisilane has been determined from three dimensional single crystal x-ray diffraction data collected by counter methods. A method for relating the phases of reflections in a centric structure is described. The derivation of the basic equations, a description of the procedure, and the application of the procedure to a structure solution are presented.
