Using the theorectical basis established in part one, an estimate was made of the fast effect in beryllium on the infinite multiplication factor of heterogeneous thermal reactors moderated by beryllium. Using available data relative to the different collision cross sections involved, the result obtained was a 7 % increase in the multiplication factor. This value is in agreement with data previously presented at the Geneva Conference, and approximates the results of criticality experiments. (tr-auth)
