MULTIPLE IMPLANT DOSIMETRY

Low-atomic-number silver-activatod radiophotolumunescent glass-needle dosimeters were placed within a fourportal 10-mil wall gold shield and implanted in a dog. Implants were made in three planes so that most of the vital organs were pierced. The dog was exposed to 260-kvp x rays, and was turned over at mix- exposure so that total exposure was obtained. Preliminary results indicate the feasibility of this mode of multiple implant dosimetry for the confirmation of isodose patterns and depth-dose measurements. (C.H.)
