Water corrosion data and methods of preparation are given for U--Ti--Nb alloys which have improved corrosion resistance over U-- Ti alloys. Suitable alloys contain 2.5 to 6 wt.% titanium and 1 te 2 wt.% niobium, the bal ance being uranium; the best alloy for reactor use contains 3 wt.% titanium and 15 wt.% niobium. (D.L.C.)
