Weak-interaction corrections to the electromagnetic interactions of leptons
In order to examine the structure of weak interactions the effects of the higher-order weak interactions on the electromagnetic properties of the charged leptons both in the V--A form of the phenomenological Lagrangian theory of Fermi and in the vector boson theory were calculated. It is found that the vector boson theory gives a contribution of approximates 0.25 x 10/sup -6/ to the muon's anomalous magnetic moment and a small parity nonconserving part to the electromagnetic current. The expected anomalous magnetic moment correction in the phenomenological Lagrangian theory is surprisingly absent. Experimental consequences are discussed.
