ELECTRIC CONDUCTIVITY OF HIGH URANIUM OXIDES AS A FUNCTION OF TEMPERATURE (in Russian)

Journal Article · · Fiz. Metal. i Metalloved.
OSTI ID:4084370

Electric conductivity of uranium oxide at 80 to 800 deg C in a vacuum was determined, and additional data on the kinetics of oxide dissociation were obtained by x-ray analysis of the intermediate and finite UO/sub 3/ dissociations. It was found that at 250 to 300 deg C UO/sub 3/ dissociation does not change the structure, at 450 deg C UO/sub 3/ loses oxygen, and at higher temperatures it forms U/sub 3/O/sub 8/. (R.V.J.)
