NOTE ON COLLECTIVE INTERPRETATION OF THE TWO FIRST 2+ LEVELS OF EVEN NUCLEI (in French)

Journal Article · · Nuclear Phys.
It is shown that the qualitative agreement with the experimentally observed ratio of electromagnetic deexcitation probabilities of the first 2+ levels of even nuclei, which is exhibited by the theoretical predictions of the Davydov and Filippov asymmetric rotor model, can equally well be obtained for a more conventional model effecting a gradual tansition between the quadrupole oscillations of spherical nuclei aud the vibrations and rotations of spheroidal ones.
