Study of charged multiplicity distributions in anti pn interactions at 5.55, 9.3, and 14.6 GeV/c

We present a study of multiplicity distributions obtained from anti pn interactions based on three bubble chamber experiments carried out at Argonne (5.55 GeV/c), CERN (9.3 GeV/c), and Brookhaven (14.6 GeV/c). Only events having a visible track stopping in the chamber were used for the present analysis; this allowed us to extract easily the coherent reactions from our data. The topological cross sections as well as various statistical moments obtained from the charged multiplicities are studied as functions of the incident momentum. Some comparison between our results and anti pn and pp data is made. (AIP)
