Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4082765
Highlights of the various Plowshare proposals are discussed briefly in relation to engineering geology. These have been placed into four categories: the first discusses earth moving and includes harbor building and mining; the second discusses aquifers and ways in which underground water supplies can be improved with nuclear explosives; in the third part petroleum is discussed and includes oil shale and underground oil storage; and the last part is devoted to underground power and includes Project Gnome and improvement of geothermal sources.
