RECOVERY OF RARE EARTH FISSION PRODUCTS FROM PUREX WASTE

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4082358
The precipitation of the rare-earth fission products as double sulfates was shown to be a satisfactory primary step in their recovery from concentrated Purex wastes. The method recovers about 90% of the desired rare earths, concentrated from the Purex waste by a factor of 200 and moderately well separated from other fission products. (auth)
