POSITRONIUM FORMATION BY FAST POSITRONS IN ATOMIC HYDROGEN

The cross sections for the formation of a positronium atom in the ground state by positrons in atomic hydrogen are calculated in the Born and impulse approximations in the energy range 10 ev to 500 ev. Although the total cross sections predicted by these approximations are similar at high energies, their angular distributions differ considerably. (auth)
