A PECULIARITY IN THE OCCURRENCE OF THE PRELIMINARY NEGATIVE IMPULSE IN SSC

Journal Article · · Geomagnetism Aeronomy
OSTI ID:4080953
Tellurograms for earth-current stations were used to study the occurrence of the preliminary negative impulse in sudden-commencement geomagnetic storms. The distortions in SSC are assumed to arise from electromagnetic induction in the ionospheric E layer. (R.E.U.)
