Electromagnetic mass splittings of mesons in the charmed-quark model

Assuming that the electromagnetic mass splitting of pseudoscalar and vector mesons results from intrinsic quark mass differences plus Coulomb and magnetic interactions, we derive inequalities among the meson masses, including the masses of charmed mesons. (AIP)
