The instrumentation of the JEN-1 reactor is briefly reviewed. The control and safety system is described in more detail. The characteristics and purpose of the shutdown circuit, fission-counter control, automatic-manual control, control rod circuit, drive of the pump motors of the primary, secondary, and purification systems, drive of the primary valve motor, principal control panel alarm, and auxiliary panel alarm are described.
