Calculation of energies of autoionizing states of multiply charged ions using perturbation theory

Energies of the autoionizing states of heliumlike ions were calculated using relativistic and nonrelativistic perturbation theory. The agreement of results obtained by the two methods is discussed. The energy of an atom is represented in the form of the sum E=E$sub 00$$Z$$sup 2$ +E$sub 10$Z+E$sub 20$$+$$alpha$$sup 2$$E$$sub 01$$Z$$sup 4$$+$$beta$$sup 2$$E$$sub 11$$Z$$sup 3$. Numerical values of the coefficients E/subn//subm/ were found for the 2s$sup 2$ $sup 1$$S$$sub 0$, 2p$sup 2$ $sup 3$$P$$sub 0$, $sup 3$$P$$sub 1$, $sup 3$$P$$sub 2$, $sup 1$$D$$sub 2$, and $sup 1$$S$$sub 0$ autoionizing levels. Energies of these states were calculated for Z=6, 8, 12, 20, and 26. (AIP)
