Title: A THEOREM ON ENERGY FLOW IN THE MOTION OF A FLUID WITH HIGH ELECTRICAL CONDUCTIVITY IN WHICH A MAGNETIC FIELD IS GENERATED (in Italian)

Journal Article · · Atti Acad. Naz. Lincei, Rend., Classe Sci. Fis., Mat. Nat.

The motion of a non-viscous fluid of high electrical conductivity in which a magnetic field is generated is considered. There is a significant relation relative to the total energy flow across any fixed closed surface belonging to the field of motion of the fluid. If the elements of the magnetic field and of the motion are periodic with respect to time, the total energy flow across any fixed surface immersed in the field of motion is equal, for a given period, to the flow of the magnetic stress and pressure across the surface considered.
