A qualitative study was made of the solubility of metallic oxides and sulfides in the fused LiCl-KCl eutectic. The intensity-potential curves show that the solutions obtained contain the O/sup 2-/ and S/sup 2-/ particles which may be oxidized chemically or electrochemically, respectively. (auth)
